End of August for the Omnia Pro?


It’s six weeks since I ordered the Omnia Pro and there’s still no word of a delivery date.

PDAMax in Germany have slipped the delivery estimate to the end of August.  This is not looking good.

What would you do?

    Bol have also changed their date, but not by so much. I guess Samsung has delayed it to work over some issues or something.

    that sucks but i really hope its only until the end of august rather than later. im sick and tired of considering otber devices eventhough the omnia has the specs i need.

    If you’re after a QWERTY phone and find the TP2/Xperia/N97 to be inadequate there really are no other devices.

    Sure, there is the Xperia X2 coming and Motorola have some interesting QWERTY Androids in the oven, but all are still far to far away. It’s a hard life for those of us who prefer a hardware keyboard.

    Of course, sales staff are notorious for giving incorrect information so it’s probably best to take this with multiple pinches of salt until we get confirmation from another source.

    It’s not even up on Voda UK’s coming soon page, so the UK release date might not be the same as Central Europe’s.

    I’m new to the site, weird google put it on page 5 when i was looking of info on this phone. A lot of in info though, nice work! Here is some more ‘news’ I came across:
    The phone is currently on the samsung nl website as upcoming http://nl.samsungmobile.com/mobiele-telefoons/phone-search.do?kind=upcoming. On tweakers.net some sites were noted with release dates. 4th of september over here: http://mobiele-telefoons.centralpoint.nl/samsung/gt-b7610oka/samsung-b7610-louvre-onyx-black/?ref=2 and 21 of august here: http://www.pdashop.nl/product/74474/samsung-omnia-qwerty-onyx-black.html. Sorry for the overload of dutch sites but I hope one of the dates is the real one.

    Thanks for that info.
    Hopeful Google will sort out the listing for this site. Im sure there’s other people that would be interested. If it finally turns up at my door i7ll be doing a lot of videos and reports on it. Spread the word!
