Its happened! The Omnia Pro is finally available…in Holland…as the Omnia Qwerty. It launched alongside the Omnia II at the ‘Miljonair Fair‘ on Saturday and was available as of yesterday. There were a few lucky bloggers present to capture the action on Saturday although not much information yet.
Allabouphones.nl have a brief report of hands-on time but don’t really have much detail to report. They say that the demo version didn’t have the final firmware but that it was fast. Phew! They have some nice pics too.

Ron Smeets of MobileCowboys was also lucky enough to get some lens-time with the Qwerty. Hopefully he’ll get a review device very soon so keep an eye on that website.

At the very least we now know it’s real, pricing is ranging from about 430-450 Euro and by the end of the week, maybe even by the end of Wednesday, we should be getting hands-on information from owners. We should also have the hands-on reports from people using the N900 at Nokia World so it’s going to be fun to comapare YouTube vids!
Here’s one Dutch twitterer that’s waiting for his Omnia Qwerty!
Me, i’m working on getting one to review here on MyOmniaPro but haven’t had confirmation yet.

A nugget of information I gather Chippy had missed earlier: the Omnia Qwerty might even have an electronic compass built in: http://twitter.com/peSHIr/status/3583788273
Haven’t heard/read this anywhere else, but will let you know when I know (on Twitter and/or my blog). Which should be friday the 4th, hopefully.
