UK Omnia Pro B7610 with WM6.5: Unboxing Video

While Holland may have been first country to get the 6.1 version of the Omnia Pro B7610, it’s certainly not the first to get the WM6.5 version. This good quality, 15-minute unboxing video from Tracy and Matts blog shows the UK device in all its glory.

Praise goes to the 4-row QWERTY keyboard. ‘Very generous’ and the bright AMOLED screen. ‘Display, awesome’ says Matt. The design looks exactly the same all-round so rumors of a capacative screen and other differences were, unfortunately, wrong.

I have given up on a quick release of WM 6.5 here in Holland. I cannot believe it’s so hard for Samsung to roll out a new Rom. They did it for the Omnia 2 right at october 6, so why not for the Pro?

Maybe they have sth. special in store :D

After seeing this video, I don’t know anymore what to expect from the update, and when to expect it. Basically the 6.5 version is just a normal Windows 6.5 with, the same Touchwiz stuff we already had on 6.1 on top. How much time did they need to do such a thing? and once they made it, why isn’t it available for everybody for download?

Indeed, Samsung was right with its ad about the free windows upgrade:

      WHY WAIT? ;)

I’ve just received my B7610 from Clove. I’ll post some brief thoughts and experiences onto the forum, but nothing in too much depth. I’ll leave that to Chippy!

    Hi Chippy.
I got mine of WM6.5 UK Ver from Clove this month.
In the old version, the method of the hard reset was “vol-up”+”lock”keys.
But in the WM6.5 UK Version, this method does not work.
Is not there any information about how to hard reset of WM6.5 UK Version?

Good question. The only hard reset I ever needed was to change the language and that happens automatically through the language change process.
