Of course, announcements are not the same as firm release dates, as the Omnia Pro has shown, but at least it'll give us an idea about what we're working with. Here's hoping the X2 is packing a fast processor.

Well both of these announcements have happened now, and there couldn't have been a greater contrast between the two. On hand we had the N900 with its great specifications and slick advertising, and on the other you get the X2 which was announced by way of a shovelled press release and is packing a laughable 3.2″ 65k LCD and 528MHz MSM7200 processor.

The B7610/N900/Sholes question is still open, but for anyone holding off based on what the new Xperia may bring, you can safely remove that one from your list. The sad thing is that it looks like it has the most ergonomic keyboard of any of these four devices…

Hopefully by this time next week we'll have the last piece of the puzzle when Motorola report in and we can start deciding what to buy if we haven't already. I'm expecting them to put up more of a fight than SE have, but we shall see.

The Xperia really didnt impress me and event that ergonomic-looking keyboard may just be a style feature. It's so tiny, I can imagine that those key ledges make any difference.

As you say, next-up its the Sholes and then we'll be able to decide.

I'm trying to get an HTC Pro2, N97, Omnia Pro live video session together in the next few weeks so we can go through the fine detail.

Equal-tops for me: Omnia Pro , N900

N97 is at the bottom. HTC Pro2 close to the top.

I don't find the Omnia Pro to be the sexiest device around but wow, that X2 seems ugly to me. Maybe a hint of retro style for some but it doesnt work for me.

Hi.

I am thinking of buying a new phone, but I am not really sure which one to buy, I was thinking to buy it on http://www.smggsm.com the b7610, the price is 639.94  or wait for the experia x2 that cost 789.94, which one do you recommend of this two?? and in this page they sell a accident warranty, do you think is worthy to buy this one too, because thats the reason I am buying in this page, if not i can get it cheaper in other pages.

I will be really gratefull if you help me with this 2 questions.

Thanks

never had anny serious accident with my phone, did you? this way you should answer it yourself.

of course omnia pro is a way better choice, amoled and way better processor than x2,  AFAIK x2 its just x1 repacked into new case, maybe tweaked a bit but nothing really breathtaking.
